Gill is a Chartered Counselling Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society in the Division of Counselling Psychology.
Gill says “During my Chartered Counselling Psychology training and my past employment, I have gained considerable knowledge and ability using the practical application of psychological theory to my work. I have worked extensively within the NHS and the voluntary sector, dealing with a variety of presenting problems such as: anxiety, depression, phobias, road traffic accidents (RTA), pain management, obsessive compulsive disorders (OCD) and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I work primarily within a brief therapy framework (6 sessions) drawing on skills from a number of models e.g. cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and solution focused therapy, but I feel strongly that the model of therapy should suit the client rather than the client fit the model."
